I've been reading about Texas barbecue places incorporating Middle Eastern and African spices and cooking techniques, but haven't had a chance to try it until today at KG BBQ in Austin. With Texas barbecue diffusing around the country in classic form, these new interpretations are really exciting and worth seeking out. Absolutely delicious.
