“Beginning Aug. 5, the bridge’s multi-use path will open to pedestrians and cyclists. It will be the only border crossing between Michigan and Canada where people can legally cross on foot or by bicycle. There is no toll for pedestrians or cyclists. “The 1.5-mile path is separated from vehicle traffic by concrete barriers. Travelers will pass through dedicated customs facilities before entering the bridge.”

People will soon be able to walk or bike between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, using the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
