Local drama: NW Portland pool funds were reappropriated without full transparency to give another neighborhood a pool. Slabtown also got shafted on their promised park for a decade, in another story on this site. It seems like NW is regularly sacrificed in favor of other areas. The disaster that is Couch Park and the lack of any NW public pool suggests a lot to be desired for one of the otherwise cutest neighborhoods of the city.
