A grim study on how bad life is for Amazon delivery drivers, who are paid little, offered no benefits, and make up an enormous volume of U.S. package deliveries. I do not respect an enormously wealthy company where 1 in 4 drivers report going hungry and 1 in 3 report being unable to pay utility bills. It is shameful we allow Bezos to do this. When I buy from Amazon I delay the delivery by 3-5 days in order to reduce stress on the drivers. But that’s not enough — I should just shop elsewhere.
