I was diagnosed with sleep apnea after COVID and had to test sleeping with a CPAP machine. It was awful. I’m sure it helps some folks, but there was zero chance of me getting sleep with my face fully covered and a feeling of perpetual suffocation. Also, it would have really killed my dating prospects. The news of major safety risks with Philips CPAP machines only further validates my refusal to use one. Though I don’t love waking up in a sleep deprived stupor.
