Researchers at Meta testified in front of Senate today that they routinely found evidence of child sexual abuse and exploitation in their VR products, along with parents who had no idea what their kids were doing or that their children were talking to literal strangers on the platform. I have the same job as these two and I’m very glad my projects do not involve this kind of horrible situation. I have no doubt Meta is eager to cover up anything that would harm their product strategy.
