I had a high opinion of The Atlantic until I read this glib hyperbole, seemingly written by a self-inflated fraternity boy who can’t get over his own genius in his freshman year Intro to Politics course. Hubris can make anyone seem intelligent because it’s literally self aggrandizing delusion. I can only hope this was published in an effort to let the author embarrass himself in perpetuity.
