I was in my PhD at the same time as Juliana, Alison, and many other upcoming scholars in the field. I think a lot of them did what many professors did before, but is now easier to figure out, harder to hide, and with higher standards for research. It’s good for the field to deprioritize cutesy-findings studies of behavioral quirk. Schools should reward slower, more honest research, which, when I was in the field, felt like a death knell to one’s career.
