Appointing someone like RFK Jr to "go wild health" while all the warning lights for an avian flu spillover are flashing red is dumbfounding idiocy. And while this case hopefully won't spread, it's a reminder that COVID's age skew is by no means guaranteed for the next pandemic. We're not remotely prepared to handle a flu that starts killing kids, teenagers, and other young, healthy people in high numbers.
