Fun fact: I didn't know that the "Sound of Music" was inspired by a real family until I met the current generation of von Trapps at an event in Portland. It's a weird experience to casually meet people you thought were fictional characters in real life! (I also didn't know that Maria von Trapp drove the hell out of her sports cars, which is what this story is about.)
