I'm saddened to hear that David Boaz is in hospice. I owe much of my public policy career (such as it is!) to his generosity, meeting me over my spring break for no reason other than that I was a libertarian, we both went to Vanderbilt, and I'd reached out to ask if I could visit Cato. Think tank life turned out not to be for me, but we remained friendly over the years and unlike so many libertarians, he never lost sight of what matters: one of the few I unreservedly admire to the end.
