I haven't been sure how much of this is just my distance from DC institutions, but I recently asked a friend still in it whether the "libertarian movement" still exists. I no longer feel much connection to it, for reasons Andy Craig articulates here. Ideas and thinkers can remain influential but the era of libertarianism as a distinct movement seems pretty over.
