How K-12 helps explain how rural America came to suck

I spent most of today writing two posts in response to a recent comment about whether quality of life is really worse in rural America. And I’m going to share those posts with you, my babies. I really will. But in doing that writing, a thought occurred to me that I just have to get down on paper because I think it really does point at something far more important than the data I’ve been collecting.
