This seems right to me. Is Trump an insurrectionist? Yes. Would his election be catastrophic, in terms of democratic backsliding? Yes. Should we bar him from the ballot in 2024? Absolutely not. At this point it's undemocratic. Our opportunity to avoid a 2024 rematch was the 2nd impeachment trial. Blame your nearest spineless Republican Senator for not convicting and keeping us out of this mess altogether. Instead we just have to beat him at the ballot box.
