It’s not all retrospective, though, thankfully. She tells me to go to bed at a reasonable hour, do yoga and walk for at least 30 minutes most days. She tells me to send that high-stakes email as soon as I sit down to avoid the procrastination death spiral.

Naming parts of myself
I wrote in my last therapy homework post about how doing the dishes right away helps me feel like less of a bad person. This week in our session I said I often feel “gently raked across the coals.” Therapist suggested I name the part of me who makes me feel like that.
