I think the people who absolutely despise thinking about themselves get just as much out of therapy, but for the opposite reason.

On the recommendation of therapist I started reading the Internal Family Systems Bible: No Bad Parts. This quote from the foreword really got me thinking: “What had felt daunting to me my whole life–going within to take responsibility for or inquire about my urges, compulsions, triggers, and reactions–slowly became somewhat exciting.”
