Thankfully I'm trending towards securing a job by the end of the year but the search has felt much more brutal this year, so I'm glad to see outlets confirming my experience. The combo of higher interest rates, tech pandemic overhiring/subsequent layoffs, and a pull back in remote work supply (with the same remote work demand) has made for a really messy time. Over the long haul I still think tech is an interesting place to be and a solid career path. But it's not without its hiccups.

Finding a Tech Job Is Still a Nightmare
Tech companies have laid off more than 400,000 people in the last two years. Competition for the jobs that remain is getting more and more desperate.
