Obviously the tail risks of AI are concerning (though unclear how likely they are). But like the folks in this article, I'm optimistic about their use in the short term. I would love a world where we could up our productivity by 50% (or whatever) and then shift to a 4 day work week to be happier but I'm not sure how realistic that is...
