I wish this piece had more smoking gun evidence of Ticketmaster malfeasance back in the 90s but their impact on the wider market (esp. post-Live Nation merger) is pretty self-evident so it was nonetheless a helpful walk down memory lane. I wonder if something akin to the Television Viewer Protection Act, to provide transparency to the fee/payment structure of tickets, could help. (It probably would be ruthlessly gamed, I'm afraid, but a man can dream...)
